Good morning!

So I did a dumb thing over the weekend and I need to get my foot x-rayed today. I’d much rather be with you!!

PLEASE - I need to see you turning in your missing work! Use today to pick a task and turn it in - we reviewed your outstanding work on Friday. If you do not have any Ms for me, open the task called SS.2 opportunity (due 1/28) and work through it - this will finish the SS.2s for you!

Wish me luck - see you tomorrow!

Good Morning!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Today - please open the Milestone 1 Stepping Stone 1 activity. You will work together with the students at your table to complete Activity 2 on the Stepping Stone Slide. Using the slideshow from Activity 1 nd the timeline resources in Activity 2, complete the Timeline Organizer (found under “What Have I learned.” You will work together, but every student should turn in their own copy of the organizer to this task.

Some examples of answers to “How did they receive the right to vote” would be: the 15th Amendment, the 19th Amendment, The Indian citizenship Act.

Some examples of “What strategies achieved the right to vote?” would be: going to court, passing a law, protests, Civil War.

You may leave the “Obstacles that still remain” column blank - we will come back to it together.

If you finish early please check for missing work and get caught up!

See you tomorrow :-)

Good Morning!

Today we will be launching into Learning Cycle 1’s investigation in to Voting.

  1. Open Task Dashboard and bring up your Integrated SS 4 Tasks. Wait for me to get started.

  2. Our first step today will be to review how Task Dashboard is set up for this task, and to preview the Culminating Task for this studio.

  3. You will then begin the Launch Milestone, where you will use the map skills you practiced last week and use them to earn ratings in both SS.3.1 AND SS.3.2.

  4. The following students have not submitted last week’s SS.3.2 Activity: Josiah, Vivian, Damaris, Luca, Emddy, Zyaneesha. Please see me for assistance.

Friday 9/24/21

Posted by Shannon Salter in Integ Soc Studies IV: 3 on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 9:36 am

Today is the last day to turn in the SS.3.2 Activity

The following students still need to submit this task: Josiah, Vivian, Damaris, Luca, Jammal, Mia, Emddy, Zyaneesha, and Jose. Work together today to complete and submit this task.

The remaining students should review their competency dashboard for outstanding tasks and should complete any past due or missing work. If there is none, you may chose to help your classmates with the SS.3.2 task, or you make use this time for work for another class.

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

  1. Today you will be completing a review of your Social Studies and ELA dashboards. This will help both you and me know what you need to earn full credit and get/stay on track to graduate!

  2. You will find today’s work in Task Dashboard. It is called “Y4 Starting Dashboard Review.”

  3. Don’t forget to SHARE your work with staff@b21.allentownsd.org !!!

  4. Help each pother out if you get stuck. You can even wipe down your device and pass it to a classmate if they need one (wipes are on my desk).

Look back at yesterday’s blog post. If you owe me a “SS.2.1 Social Contract Reflection” use the rest of class today to complete it. Again - help each other! If you submitted it on paper I will be changing those Ms to ratings this weekend.. If you do NOT have an M for this task it means I received your work - grades will update this weekend.

Have a great Friday and a GREAT WEEKEND!!
