Hello my name is Patrick Shields and my capstone for 2019 is based around a movie review of the 1986 film "Blue Velvet".  That movie is one of my all time favorites and displays my passion for film and the film making process.  I began the project by researching the review writing process and examined reviews to get an idea of what one should look like.  Using this information, I wrote my analysis based around my opinions and background knowledge on "Blue Velvet".  I learned what a formal review consists of and even some things that I did not know of the movie.  I can now watch "Blue Velvet" with a new set of eyes.
